When you hear someone refer to Jesus coming back again just what are they referring to?
Just like the Old Testament paints two separate comings of the Messiah, the first as a suffering servant, the second as a conquering King, the New Testament paints two different pictures of Jesus returning, first one in which he doesn’t return back down to the earth, he only returns in the air and removes those that the Bible refers to as ‘in him’, they will not experience death but will return with him back to heaven, back to the Father's house. See 1 Thes. 4: 13-18, John 14: 1-3. It’s come to be called the Rapture. Then 7 years later will be his 2nd coming in which he returns back down to the earth with his bride, the Church. Rev. 19. These 7 years have come to be referred to as the Tribulation.
For those that are new to all this, the Tribulation is the last 7 years that are allotted to Daniel's people, the Jews, we see from Daniel chapter 9:24-27 which will be the time of God's judgment on a Christ rejecting world. These 7 years are the last 7 years that lead to the 2nd coming of Christ. After he returns back down to the earth he remains to rule the world for a 1000 years. After this 1000 years will be eternity.
Have you read just what the Bible has to say about the future. You will be amazed at what you see unfolding in the world today and how clearly the Bible foretells these events. Be sure to check out the Bible Lessons here on the home page as well as on the Bible Lessons pages.
With seeing how accurately the Bible has predicted past events, and with seeing prophecies being fulfilled and falling in place in our time, literally right before our very eyes just as the Bible has foretold, with seeing how the prophecies of the Bible are true, we can be assured that the rest of the Bible is just as true. You should be able to see that the Bible is indeed the Word of God and that Jesus is who the Bible says he is.
You should learn all you can concerning what the Bible says is coming upon the world, so you can share it with your unsaved friends and family, warning them of the coming judgment of the Tribulation. More importantly, hopefully they will come to believe in Jesus, so they won’t find themselves standing before God the Father as their Judge, but will stand before Jesus as their Lord and Savior. For our Time is short.
